Collecting general information when visiting my website

I (or my web space provider) collect data about every access to the offer (so-called server log files). Access data includes:

the type of web browser, the operating system used, the name of the retrieved web page, file, date and time of the retrieval, the amount of data transferred, message about successful retrieval, referrer URL (the previously visited page), the anonymized IP address and the requesting internet service provider.

This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the contents of web pages requested by you and is mandatory when using the internet. They are processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • ensuring a problem-free connection of the website,
  • ensuring a smooth use of my website,
  • evaluation of system security and stability as well
  • for further administrative purposes.

The processing of your personal data is based on my legitimate interest for the aforementioned purposes of data collection. I do not use your information to draw conclusions about you. The recipient of the data is only the responsible body and possibly the processor. However, I reserve the right to retrospectively check the log data if, on the basis of concrete evidence, the legitimate suspicion of unlawful use exists.

Anonymous information of this kind may be statistically evaluated by me to optimize my website and the underlying technology.

Cookies

Like many other websites, I also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that make it possible to store specific device-related information on users access devices (PCs, smartphones, etc.). This automatically gives me certain data, such as the IP address, the used browser, operating system and your connection to the Internet.

Cookies can not be used to launch programs or to transfer viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, I can facilitate navigation and enable the correct display of my website. In addition, they serve to collect the statistical data of website use and to analyze them for the purpose of improving the offer.

In no case will the data collected by me be passed on to third parties and no link with personal data will be established without your consent.

Of course, you can also view my website without cookies. To do this, open the cookie settings that can be accessed at the very bottom of the first page view. You can change the cookie settings later by clicking on the settings icon at the bottom left of the website. Furthermore, most browsers have an option that limits the storage of cookies or completely prevent it.

It is pointed out, however, that the use and especially the comfort of use can be restricted without cookies.

You can manage many online advertising cookies of companies through the US website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ .

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, I use state-of-the-art encryption techniques (such as SSL) over HTTPS.

Contact

If you have questions of any kind and you contact me, for example, by e-mail, telephone or contact form, you give me for the purpose of establishing contact your voluntary consent. This requires, among other things, the specification of a valid e-mail address. This serves for the assignment of the request and the subsequent answering of the same. The information you provide will be processed and stored permanently for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions. You can revoke your consent at any time for the future by e-mail (info@kuehne-informatik.de).

Comments and posts

If users leave comments in the blog or other posts, in addition to this information, the time of their creation, the previously (by the website visitor) chosen username and e-mail address are stored. This is for my safety as I may be prosecuted for any unlawful content (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.) on my website, even if created by users.

Integration of services and contents of third parties

It may happen that content from third parties, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites are included in this online offer. This always presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third party provider”) perceive the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address, they could not send the content to the browser of each user. The IP address is therefore required for the presentation of this content. We endeavor to use only content whose respective providers use the IP address solely for the delivery of the content. However, we do not have any influence on this if the third parties that provide the IP address e.g. save it for statistical purposes. As far as I know, I will inform users about it.

Using Script Libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to present my content in a correct and graphically appealing way, I use script libraries and font libraries on this website, such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google web fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to prevent multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web fonts or prohibits access, content will be displayed in a standard font.

The call of script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether and if so for what purposes – that operators of such libraries collect data.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Embedded YouTube videos

On some of my websites I embed Youtube videos. The corresponding plug-ins are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, it will connect to Youtube’s servers. Youtube will be informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your Youtube account, Youtube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. This can be prevented by logging out of your Youtube account beforehand.

If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior.

Anyone who has disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program will not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in the browser.

Further information on data protection at “Youtube” can be found in the privacy policy of the provider under: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/

Change of my privacy policy

I reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to always comply with the latest legal requirements or to implement changes to my services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. Your new visit will be subject to the new privacy policy.
